Clinical Nurse Specialist, Neurodisability
Purpose of the Role Caseload: Children and young people under 16 years of age. The post holder will focus initially on the following patient groups: children with a complex neurodisability/neurodevelopmental condition, children with a diagnosis of ASD/autism encountering such issues as continence, sleep and feeding challenges and any other child requiring neurodisability/neurodevelopmental care support. The post holder will work with the Children’s Neurodisability/Neurodevelopmental Consultants, Nursing and MDT at CHI at Tallaght to support the development and delivery of specialist neurodisability/neurodevelopmental services. The CNS in Neurodisability is a defined area of nursing practice that requires the application of specially focused knowledge and skills, which are both in demand and required to improve the quality of patient care and meet service needs. The post holder is responsible for providing specialist, evidence based nursing care to children and their families. Essential Criteria: · Be registered in the Children’s Division of the active Register held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered. · Have 5 years post registration experience and a minimum of 2 years in the specialty or related area. · Have a recognised post graduate course relevant to the area of Neurodisability/Complex NeedsNursing of not less than a level 8 on the NFQ framework. · Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. Health Care Assistant / Hospital Driver Purpose of the Position: The role of the Healthcare Assistant / Hospital Driver is to primarily provide transportation to and from The National Rehabilitation Hospital for non-emergency patients who require a responsive level of care and assistance. Special Lecturer in Palliative Medicine University College Dublin · 1.0WTE (39 hours) · Fixed Term contract (24 months) · HSE Funded · Based in the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine The purpose of this position is to provide undergraduate education in palliative medicine to UCD medical students. The post holder will engage in undergraduate medical curriculum planning, coordination and teaching and will work closely with the Trinity College Dublin (TCD) affiliated special lecturer. The role will include coordination of postgraduate teaching including Palliative Medicine Grand Rounds, and setting up the new simulation suite within the Education & Research Centre. The postholder is expected to support the research programme within the ADPM, and to develop their own research projects. The post holder will be expected to apply for research funding for these projects, and to publish/present the results of the projects. The post holder will help to support other researchers within the ADPM in conjunction with the Professor of Palliative Medicine. Essential Requirements Qualification: •Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification accepted as an entry point to higher medical training in Palliative Medicine (MRCPI, MRCP, MICGP or MRCGP) • MD or PhD in Palliative Care/Medicine • Full registration in the General, Specialist or Trainee Specialist register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland Experience: •At least one year’s experience in Palliative Medicine or a related specialty at Registrar or Specialist Registrar level • 4+ years post graduate experience •Experience of student education. •Can demonstrate a high standard of clinical competence •Experience in research • Experience in teaching / delivering presentations on recognised courses or at conference • Publication of articles in professional journals • Experience in simulation Desirable Requirements Qualification: • Completed a recognised Educators course Informal enquiries for these positions are most welcome. The business has grown to over €3BN in annual revenue, operating 600 Motorway Service Plazas and forecourt sites internationally and employing over 16,000 people. Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and to support this ambitious growth, we are seeking to onboard an IT Director in our ROI business. We are looking for someone to lead the Ireland IT team in providing the end-to-end IT service, to lead IT projects and to drive local improvements for the business. This permanent role reporting to the Group CIO and line into the MD Retail Ireland and will be based in the Head Office in Park West, Dublin. The role will work collaboratively with the Group CIO and the Group IT teams as well as ensuring that they are aligned to the commercial asks of the ROI business and support as needed.
