Team Leader
CORLANN –WEST REGION POST: 3 X PERMANENT FULL-TIME TEAM LEADER (CNM1/Social Care Leader) HYDE SERVICES (Roscommon Town, Kilteevan, Athleague, Tremane/Rahara) Job Ref: 99220 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Team Leader Appointments for Hyde Adult services may be made over the next 6/12 months. Location: Hyde Services (Roscommon Town, Kilteevan, Athleague, Tremane/Rahara) The Role: The Team Leader has a pivotal role in managing the day to day delivery of services. The Team Leader will provide leadership and supervision to teams while ensuring the development of the service in line with national standards and best practice. The main responsibilities are to assist the Team Manager with the management of the services, such as – person centred planning in line with Personal Outcome Measures ethos and practice, resource management and staffing - including rosters, staff development, facilitating communication and professional leadership in order to ensure a good quality of life for the people supported. Qualifications/Experience: Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition have: (I) A relevant 3rd level qualification in Nursing and current Live Register Certificate from NMBI OR (II) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. See list of recognised Social Care qualifications at: https://coru.ie/health-and-social-care-professionals/education/approved-qualifications/social-care-workers/ OR (III) Hold a schedule 3 qualification (see below Note 1*) See list of recognized Schedule 3 qualifications at: https://coru.ie/health-and-social-care-professionals/registration/registration-requirements/approved-qualifications/schedule-3-qualifications/schedule-3-qualifications. OR (IV) Hold a comparable qualification recognised by Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU OR (V) Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005, (see below Note 2*) must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant was received by the 30th November 2025. Note 1* Schedule 3 Qualifications. This is a qualification listed in Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Professions Act 2005 for existing practitioners under section 91.Candidates who hold Schedule 3 qualifications can apply to register with CORU during the two year period after the register opens up to the 30th November 2025. Once the transitional period is over -30th November 2025, only qualifications approved by a Registration board will be considered. Note 2* Section 91 candidates are individuals who qualified before 30th Nov 2023 and have been engaged in the practice of the profession in the Republic of Ireland for a minimum of 2 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 2 years fulltime), between 30th November 2018 and 30th November 2023 are considered to be Section 91 applicants under the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005. And Working Hours: Contracted hours will depend on the grade of the successful candidate - i.e. 78 hours a fortnight (SCL grade) or 75 hours a fortnight (CNM1 grade) rostered flexibly on a 7 day duty roster. The Team leader will work as a frontline member of the team with protected time to carry out specific team leader duties. In addition, a sleep-in and/or night duty commitment may be a requirement of posts in residential services for which the appropriate allowance will be paid. Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported. Annual Leave: Leave will be granted according to the agreed leave assigned to the grade of the successful candidates i.e. Social Care Leader or CNM1. Annual leave must be planned in advance with the Team Manager to ensure appropriate and adequate cover is provided for the service. Remuneration: Based on the salary scale attached to the grade of the successful candidates i.e. Social Care Leader or CNM1 (pro-rata for part-time). Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service. Tenure: Permanent, Full-Time and Pensionable. A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Team Leader appointments within Hyde Services may be offered over the next 6 to 12 months. The Continence pathway is one of a number of modernised care pathways (MCPs) developed by the National Clinical Programme in Surgery (NCPS) and the HSE as a core component of the transformation of the delivery of scheduled care services. Sláintecare The Sláintecare Report (2017) and Sláintecare Implementation Strategy (2018) signal a new direction for the delivery of health and social care services in Ireland with the potential to create a far more sustainable, equitable, cost effective system and one that delivers better value for patients and service users. At its core, the strategy focuses on establishing programmes of work to move to a community-led model, providing local populations with access to a comprehensive range of non-acute services at every stage of their lives. The enhanced community care model is currently being implemented with specialist teams for management of chronic disease and care of the older persons and public health nursing will play a significant role in this change model. Urology Model of Care for Ireland (2019) envisages a system of urology care that serves the majority of patients, in the primary care setting, while assuring appropriate clinical governance to support a safe and high quality service. Its implementation in full is necessary for an efficient and economically viable service so that we can improve the access of patients across Ireland to the services they require as they get older. This includes preventative and curative interventions encompassing clinical work, care planning, assessments, reviews, liaison with relevant statutory and voluntary services, and work in both clinical and domiciliary settings. Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists in Urology (Pelvic Health) have specific responsibilities in the area of clinical care, support, training, etc., in the area of urinary and bowel dysfunction. This work with relevant patient cohorts is essential in optimising physical, social and mental health and well-being of persons with such clinical needs and is an integral post in the Physiotherapy Department in provision of holistic care to eligible patients across the life continuum.
