Senior Neuro-physiologist

Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to work as part of the Neurophysiology team, providing diagnostic neurophysiology testing including paediatric EEG, sleep EEG, neonatal EEG, inpatient Long Term Monitoring (LTM), home video telemetry (HVT), ambulatory EEG, visual electrophysiology (VEP/ERG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM), stereo EEG monitoring (SEEG), and transcranial Doppler (TCD). Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ post graduate experience in performing routine neurodiagnostic studies. The successful candidate may be required to work across CHI sites and services in line with organisational requirements and the development of the new children’s hospital and associated services. Essential Criteria: (i) Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology OR (ii) Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) OR (ii) Possess the MSc in Clinical Physiology from Atlantic Technological University Sligo (ATU Sligo) OR (iii) Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP). OR (iv) Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology AND · Have a minimum of 3 years satisfactory relevant post qualification experience. · Experienced and proficient in recording EEGs from routine outpatients and inpatients. · Experience in carrying out urgent portable EEG recordings in wards or intensive care units.
