Clerk of Works are typically assigned to Housing Maintenance & Construction, Corporate Projects and Building Control. Duties and Responsibilities: The role of a Clerk of Works is primarily to represent the interests of the Council in terms of ensuring that the quality of both materials and workmanship are in accordance with planning permission, building regulation, architects/engineers and other consultants’ drawings and specifications.
