Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) is a 150 bedded Tertiary Referral Centre for Maternity, Neonatology and Gynaecology located on the campus of Cork University Hospital. CUMH incorporates the Obstetric, Gynaecology and Neonatology Services in the Cork University Hospital Group within the Health Service Executive South West region. CUMH has approximately 7,000 births per annum and is a tertiary referral centre. Services at CUMH are delivered within Ireland South Women and Infants Directorate which is based on the principles of partnership and integration and strongly supports the involvement of the multidisciplinary team in service provision. CUMH is a site for clinical placements for student midwives and student nurses in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered in partnership with University College Cork. CUMH Services incorporates the use of the MN-CMS (Maternal Newborn Clinical Management System) into care delivered at CUMH. As part of an established collaborative clinical and academic network, University Hospital Kerry, Cork University Maternity Hospital, University Hospital Waterford and South Tipperary University Hospital are supported by the HSE South West through the Ireland South Women & Infants Directorate (ISWID), and the HSE Dublin and South East through the Women and Neonatal Health Network (WNHN). ISWID will continue to provide the established clinical pathways and academic links. Maternity Services includes Neonatology and Gynaecology as well as Midwifery and Obstetrics. The Group’s Primary Academic partner is University College Cork. A wide range of educational programmes and research is conducted within all hospitals in the Group. Purpose of the Post The introduction of the Electronic Health Record (MN-CMS project) has changed the landscape of documentation, data collection, reporting requirements and quality checks within the service. The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing validation of all clinical data in SSWHG Maternity Services. The post of CNM/MM 3 Data Manager has a pivotal role in assisting the senior executive management team at CUMH to oversee the quality of clinical documentation to ensure that the quality of the data is reflective of the highest standard. The post holder assists the Data HUB committee in developing and implementing policies and procedures and monitoring clinical data activity and quality of data outputs. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will work in line with the team’s service plans and objectives, while adhering to established professional standards, guidelines, and policies. In this role, you will provide assessment and intervention within the framework of the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT), delivering therapeutic services to children and young people (0–18 years) with a range of complex needs arising from disability. Services are provided to families living in Crumlin, Drimnagh, Parnell Road, and parts of Kimmage, Harold’s Cross, and Walkinstown. Our approach is rooted in child- and family-centred practice, with support delivered across clinic, school, home, and community settings. Interventions may be universal, targeted, or individualised, with a strong emphasis on evidence-informed practice and the implementation of national and professional CDNT guidelines. The team covers a small geographical area, many families are within walking distance, allowing for close community connections and accessible service delivery. We work in a spacious building with ample parking for those who drive. The interdisciplinary team includes Physiotherapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work, and Therapy Assistants.

Senior Music Therapist Purpose of the Role The post holder will provide a comprehensive music therapy service to children with a wide range of needs, admitted to CHI as a result of acquired brain injury, neurological disorders, craniofacial conditions and other medical conditions. Maternity cover role: The post holder will be responsible for the day to day running of the Music Therapy department, working closely with Music Therapy and CHI colleagues to ensure an optimal service delivery for children and families. PICU role: The post holder will deliver on an assigned Music Therapy project, working with children and young people admitted to the paediatric intensive care unit. Essential Criteria: · Minimum 3 years full time post qualification experience working with infants, children or adolescents in a Music Therapy role. · Master’s qualification in Music Therapy. · Current professional membership of IACAT or BAMT. · Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. · Demonstrates a high level of musical skill (shortlisted candidates will be required to perform a piece of music at interview).
