Staff Grade Pharmacy Technician Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to provide a pharmaceutical technician service for the pharmacy department and to all wards and clinical areas within CHI. Essential Criteria: Pharmaceutical Technicians Diploma or equivalent Pharmacy Technician Qualification awarded by an accredited body as follows: • Pharmaceutical Technicians Diploma awarded by the University of Dublin, trinity College or • Pharmacy Technician qualification at QQI level 6 awarded by Dublin Institute of Technology, Athlone Institute of Technology or Carlow Institute of Technology (ii) or • Pharmacy Services Certificate NVQ level 3 offered by Irish Pharmacy union (iii) or • Be currently employed as a pharmacy technician in the publicly funded Irish health system or • A relevant qualification at least equivalent to (ii) or (iii) above Desirable Criteria: • Basic therapeutic knowledge of medications used in a hospital environment. • Experience in purchasing/procurement of medicines and ancillary substances within a Pharmacy Service How to Apply and Informal Enquiries: * Please note that you must submit a cover letter with your CV, this forms part of your application and CV’s will not be accepted without a detailed cover letter. The Maintenance Department of St Josephs also covers daily maintenance of outlying Health Centres and HSE Residential House which include intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health Residential and Child Residential units, which are located throughout the County of Longford. St Lomans is located on the Delvin Road Mullingar. This facility consists of 44 bed care unit and day care services. The facility also consists of a Mental Health Day services unit, out of hours GP service, Dental services, Ambulance station and Administration Buildings which serve other departments not located on the grounds of St Lomans.
