The Principal Psychologist Manager is responsible for the overall governance, leadership, and management of the psychology service within Adult Clinical Services. The post-holder will ensure high-quality, evidence-based, person-centered psychological support for adults with disabilities, while leading on clinical governance, staff management, supervision, training, service development, and research. This role includes carrying a defined caseload, overseeing complex interventions, and ensuring equitable access to psychology services across the organization. Maintenance Supervisor
This is a hands-on role. · The Supervisor shall be accountable for expenditure made by the department. · He/she shall also from time to time be assigned budgets in respect of minor capital works and shall be responsible for the procurement and execution of same. · The maintenance, repair, upkeep and decoration of all buildings and building services. · The repair and upkeep of all windows, ceilings, doors, walls, boundary walls, fences, roadways, footpaths, grounds and site services. · The maintenance, repair, upkeep and efficient operation of the emergency on-call system (EoC) and MEP services on site, communications equipment, fire systems, fuel and other plant and services. Implement, manage and maintain energy and building management systems. · Manage environmental issues as appropriate to the team function. · To implement and manage emergency on-call / call-out systems. · To arrange maintenance contracts (and other SLAs) for specialised plant, services and equipment in his/her area, supervise work of the maintenance contractors and certify completion of work before payments are processed. · Where appropriate to prepare feasibility reports, estimates, tender documents (drawings, specifications and contract conditions), obtain tenders, review method statements and other documentation, arrange contracts, supervise construction and commission approved minor capital and major maintenance works. To certify monies due to contractors for the works. · To be aware and implement all Safety, Health and Welfare at work legislation, regulations and good practice relevant to the role of supervisor as it applies to the Health Service Executive and contractor’s staff. To ensure that all staff under his/her control are aware of the Health Service Executive’s policies in relation to Safety, Health and Welfare at work legislation and that the relevant NMH policies are adhered to. To arrange appropriate training programmes for staff. To ensure compliance with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction Regulations 2001) in relation to maintenance and minor capital works. To act as Project Supervisor Design Stage or Project Supervisor Construction Stage as appropriate for maintenance and minor capital works. To carry out annual safety audits in areas under his/her control and liaise with the local Health & Safety Officer on the updating of the relevant safety statements and procedures. To liaise with the local Health and Safety Officer on all matters relating to the Safety, Health and Welfare at work. · To maintain a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc. · To undertake risk assessments including facility, services, chemical and environmental as are required for the function of the department. · To undertake further training in relation to Health & Safety Construction Regulations as required. · To implement quality improvement programmes in his/her area of responsibility. · To perform such additional duties appropriate to the office as may be assigned to him/her from time to time by the Facilities Engineering Manager or agent.
Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, Scoliosis Service
The clinical specialist occupational therapist will work within the occupational therapy team and provide in-patient and or outpatient occupational therapy to the scoliosis surgery service. The clinical specialist occupational therapist will be working across our national spinal injuries occupational therapy service and as part of our wider network with critical care, orthopaedics, surgery and trauma.
