The Senior Library Assistant may be assigned to any of a very wide range of areas or activities carried out in an Institute Library, in any of its campuses. Additionally, he/she will have supervisory responsibility for a section/function of the library’s activities and will normally work under the direction of one of the Senior Library staff. Key duties include: Hours of Work The appointee will be required to work 35 hours per week . A flexible approach to work is needed, as some roles may require evening work during the academic year and Saturday work occasionally throughout the year. Salary Grade V Salary Scale : €51,211 – €61,251 Annual Leave 25 days annual leave. Annual leave will be in accordance with arrangements authorised by the Minister for Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science , from time to time.
