Accounts Assistant- Clarecare (Permanent, Full-time/Part-time) Date closes: 10 August 2026 Salary: Competitive With over 58 years of service to the people of Clare; Clarecare is a professional social enterprise organisation with charitable status, providing a range of people centred social services to individuals and families in County Clare. Current services provided include Family Support, Elderly Care Services, Counselling and Bushypark Residential Addiction Treatment Centre. Clarecare’s headquarters are based in Ennis with local offices in Shannon, Kilrush, Killaloe and Ennistymon. Job Location : The position is based in Ennis, Co. Clare and may from time to time, require some travel to other Clarecare locations. This position is an on-site role. Hybrid/Remote working does not apply. Reporting to: Head of Finance. Reporting structures are subject to change. Hours of Work: This is a permanent role, subject to successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. We welcome applications from candidates interested in both full-time and part-time working arrangements. Full-time hours: The full-time working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday inclusive. Normal working hours are 9.30am to 5.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexibility and a willingness to work outside normal working hours may occasionally be required. Part-time hours: Part-time working arrangements will be considered, with a minimum commitment of 22.5 hours per week. Hours will be worked Monday to Friday, with the specific working pattern agreed with the successful candidate, taking account of service requirements and operational needs. Annual Leave: 26 days annual leave per annum, excluding Public Holidays, for full-time employees. Part-time employees will receive a pro-rata entitlement based on their contracted hours. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Key Responsibilities include: SALARY & BENEFITS: The gross salary per annum for full-time role is €33,942 (prorated for part-time applicants) and will be paid monthly into a nominated Bank Account by EFT. In addition, and subject to funding, a further 2% salary increase will apply from 1st October 2026. This will apply to both full-time and part-time role on a pro-rata basis where applicable. This however, should not be interpreted as providing for any additional salary increases beyond the above stated terms as Clarecare is a part-funded (Section 39 entity) and not a fully funded (Section 38) Agency. 26 days annual leave per annum, excluding Public Holidays, for full-time employees. Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Membership on successful completion of probation (6 months duration). Clare Full-time permanent role (Subject to funding and successful completion of probation) DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: We require a motivated, dynamic, and organised person responsible for coordinating the Home Support Service in the local area, along with assessing the needs (Activities of Daily Living – ADL’s) of service users, assigning Home Support Workers to service users based on their needs as specified on personal support plans, and reviewing these assignments regularly. In addition, they are responsible for supporting best practice care to all the service users in the designated area and supporting a team of front-line Home Support Staff and administration/scheduling staff. ROLE: The Home Support Area Manager is responsible for providing best-practice care to service users in the Home Support Service, within the approved budgetary allocation in the designated area. They are responsible for managing and guiding all staff required to run the service and for the health and safety and administration of the service. They will provide and promote the best available evidence model of care which is person-centred, and community focused and will have an appreciation of the needs of the Home Support service user and Home Support Worker. The successful candidate will work as part of the Home Support team in Clarecare and liaise regularly with the same. Flexibility and willingness to travel is essential. You may be required to work outside of normal hours if necessary. Training and supervision will be provided to the successful candidate. JOB RELATIONS: The Home Support Area Manager will work as part of the Home Support Team in Clarecare and will report to the Home Support Service Manager. HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. (inclusive of 30 mins. lunch break). This position involves mandatory on-call evening and weekend work (as required) as per on-call roster arrangements/requirements (rota system) within the Home Support Service and you are required to be flexible regarding your work hours/days. · ON-CALL OUT OF HOURS SERVICE: You will be required (mandatory) as a member of the overall Home Support Team to provide an out of hours on-call service under the terms in which the On-Call Service roster operates. This means you must be available to work, i.e. take calls from HSW’s or Home Support Clients to respond to urgent or emergency situations outside of normal working hours (as follows): Current on call hours of service: · Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 09:30 and 17:00 to 22:00 daily · Saturday: 08:00 to 22:00 · Sunday (and Public Holidays): 08:00 to 22:00 You will receive an on-call payment upon the terms of which the on-call service roster operates. ANNUAL LEAVE ENTITLEMENT: Yearly Annual Leave entitlement for this full-time role is 26 days per annum per full leave year (Jan-Dec). JOB LOCATION: The office base for this position will be Clarecare’s Shannon office. You may, if required, be assigned by the Home Support Service Manageror designated; to the organisation’s other places of business/centre locations. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable. The successful candidate will be required to travel within Co. Clare to Clarecare’s other Centre locations and to service users in the community. You will be required to use your private car to travel for work purposes and must indemnify Clarecare on your private motor insurance policy in respect of same.
