About the Role We have a newly created opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to support and assist the finance team with daily and monthly transactional duties. We are a high-growth dynamic business with exciting and ambitious plans, and due to this growth, we need to expand our accounts team. Main duties and responsibilities will include: · Assisting finance manager with monthly closing of management accounts · Daily bank reconciliations · Reconciling customer and supplier accounts · Assisting with preparing VAT and Intrastat returns (both UK and ROI) · Preparing monthly turnover reporting · Supporting the wider team as and when required, including providing holiday cover for other finance roles · General administration duties About You Essential Criteria: · At least 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role · Experience of payroll (both UK and ROI) · Sage 50 Accounts and Sage payroll or equivalent experience · Experience working collaboratively with MS Sharepoint · Strong IT skills including Excel · Ability to work within a team · Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Desirable Criteria: · IATI qualification or equivalent · Experience of CIS subcontractor’s tax Hours - Full-Time or Part- Time position available, flexible around work pattern (minimum 24 hours a week) Contract - temporary – minimum 6-month contract with a possibility of extension or being made permanent Location - DV8 Head Office, Craigavon, Co.
