Location: Caislean Services operates a range of services including day, residential, respite, training, education, employment opportunities, Individualised services, and leisure activities which are geographically dispersed though the West Sector Adult Services. The Role: The Social Care Worker will report to the Social Care Leader/Team Leader and will fulfil a key worker role for individuals and aim to provide a safe, secure environment where individuals will participate in community and leisure activities, make choices and enjoy a lifestyle that fulfils their potential and expectations with opportunity for new experiences. Reporting/Responsible To: Social Care Leader/Team Leader/Service Coordinator/Area Manager Qualifications/Experience: Ø Candidates must hold a professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Registrar maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU on or before 30th November 2025. Ø Fluency in verbal and written English and IT skills is an essential requirement of this post. Skills: Candidates must demonstrate: Working Hours: 78 hours a fortnight based on a 14 day duty roster. The successful candidates will be required to work day/night duty, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Locum Social Care Worker roles are also available. Location: Strokestown Adult Services (Strokestown, Tulsk, Elphin and Ballinagare Areas). Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services or in an individual’s own home. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Strokestown Adult services and this work location may change due to future service needs. The Role: Social Care Workers fulfil a key worker supportive and advocative role for individuals supported by the service. The Social Care Worker role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual’s ability and promoting independence and development of skills at all times.
