The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Adult Mental Health-Eating Disorder) The purpose and function of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (Adult Mental Health-Eating Disorder) is to take responsibility for completing a bio-psychosocial assessment, review and care plan to assist recovery. The post holder will work collaboratively with service users and families to provide education, information, advice and review physical and psychological wellbeing in accordance with best practice guidelines and recommendation specific to NICE Guidance (2017) and the Eating Disorder National Model of Care For Ireland (2018). The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health- Eating Disorder) will work under supervision from the Clinical Lead, and report directly to the Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure there is a coordinated focus on the day to day running of the Eating Disorders Service. This position will involve managing service users suffering with a diagnosis of Eating Disorders as recognised in DSM V or ICD 10. Case Load: Service users 18 years old and over, from General Adult Mental Health Teams and meet inclusion criteria of the Model of Care.
