The purpose of this role is to support the clinical service provision, research and teaching capacity of qualified practitioner Psychologists. Following induction and training, the Psychology Assistant will undertake prescribed tasks relating to assessment and intervention commensurate with their level of competence under the supervision of a professionally qualified psychologist who will hold full clinical and professional responsibility. The Psychology Assistant post will be a much-valued resource and will support the delivery of service-related initiatives as well as evidence-based psychological services to patients attending OLH&CS. This role will operate in line with the Psychological Society of Ireland guidelines for such posts.
