The post holder will apply a broad understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure operational activities are compliant with both regulatory standards and internal procedures. Acting as a key point of contact for these departments, the individual will offer guidance on quality standards, deviation management, CAPA processes, and root cause analysis, while also supporting batch record reviews and resolving quality-related queries. In addition to day-to-day support, the role includes active participation in internal audits, customer and regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. The post holder will monitor GMP compliance on the production floor, assist with investigations and CAPA implementation, and contribute to quality assurance during rework or reprocessing operations. The Blood Science & Blood Transfusion Departments also provides Pathology services to an external Private Hospital and are well equipped with technology/instrumentation; Winpath LIS, Beckman Coulter Au480, Beckman Coulter Access, Arkray, Radiometer ABL Flex 90, Cell Dyn Ruby, Sysmex, ACL Top, and IH500. The NOHC Laboratory Blood Science & Blood Transfusion Departments operate a multi-disciplinary on-call service and multi-disciplinary extended working day. The Microbiology Department at NOHC processes approximately 30,000 samples per annum and is accredited to ISO 15189:2022. The Microbiology Department also provides Pathology services to an external Private Hospital, as well as, the National and Regional Bone Banks, and is licensed as a Tissue Establishment (2004/23/EC) by the Health Products Regulatory Authority. The Microbiology Department is well equipped with technology/instrumentation; Winpath LIS, Vitek 2, BacT/ALERT and GeneXpert.
