CORLANN –WEST REGION POST: STAFF NURSE/*ENHANCED NURSE Permanent Full Time 75 hours a fortnight (Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare & Ballaghaderreen areas) Ref: 96955 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent permanent, temporary or fixed term Staff Nurse appointments within the Cruachan Service location may be offered over the next 6 to 12 months. Cruachan Adult Services - Strokestown, Tulsk, Elphin, Ballinagare and Ballaghaderreen areas. Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Cruachan services and this work location may change due to future service needs. The Role: Staff Nurses and Enhanced Staff Nurses fulfil a key worker supportive and advocative role for adults supported by the service in all aspects of their lives, focusing on each individual’s ability and promoting independence and development of skills at all times. The Staff Nurse and Enhanced Staff Nurse will assist people with the development of person-centred plans and critically, will support people to make informed choices and fulfil their potential. They will encourage participation in the community through inclusive and creative thinking, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking in leading to informed choices. Qualifications & Experience: Candidates must have - All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and night duty to meet service needs. The Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: 24 days pro rata per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration (Department of Health salary scales as at 01/02/2026apply): Staff Nurse – €37,788 x 12 increments - €54,412 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Long Service Increment €56,032 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. *Enhanced Nurse – € 44,811 x 7 increments - €56,200 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). The MA reimagines design as a catalyst for systemic change challenging linear production models and enabling regenerative, life-centered approaches to materials, ecosystems, society, and culture. It supports creative practitioners in interrogating and disrupting current systems and in designing alternatives that are circular by intent. The Assistant Lecturer will be part of a cross disciplinary team of academics responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of NCAD’s Circular by Design programmes. This specific role is focused on delivering and teaching sustainable, circular, and regenerative design principles and practices to enable the rethinking of systems through transformative circular strategies and policies and ecosystem-based approaches. The role will also contribute to related undergraduate and postgraduate awards, and support the integration of sustainable, circular, and regenerative design across NCAD’s wider curriculum. NCAD recognizes the urgent need to build circular innovation capacity across Ireland’s design sector. Its programmes aim to equip the next generation of changemakers with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to rethink the purpose, processes, and outcomes of design. Selection Criteria ● Strong understanding of the opportunities and barriers involved in driving circular transformation across the textiles, fashion, design and craft supply chain, with demonstrated experience advancing circular economy practices in the sector. ● Proven track record in sustainable and circular design, strategy and policy development, and building cross-sector ecosystems and partnerships towards sustainability outcomes. ● A track record in social and cultural sustainable and circular strategies and policy development and ecosystems. ● Post-graduate degree in sustainable and circular design strategies or a related Fashion, Textile, Design & Craft field, or equivalent professional experience ● Capacity and enthusiasm for working in a transdisciplinary context within the School and College ● Experience of delivering quality teaching and learning within a higher education environment ● Ability to design, deliver and assess a range of modules in and related to specialist areas of research/professional interest ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. ● A strong understanding of the creative sector and experience of working with designers, policy makers strategists from creative communities and/or microenterprises to SME’s, multinationals and representative bodies Desirable ● Experience of working in Higher Education ● Demonstrable record of developing and validating academic programmes ● Experience of working with industry to develop training, education and CPD For Further information on this role please contact: Angela O’Kelly Head of Design for Body and Environment okellya@staff.ncad.ie Closing Date: 18th of May 2026
