Clinical Research Assistant
Purpose of the Role Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital and the leading center in Ireland for the conduct of clinical trials and studies in children and young adults. As part of ongoing development towards the opening of the new Children’s Hospital, a rationalisation and integration of the existing clinical research infrastructure across all sites has been undertaken with all aspects of the clinical research infrastructure being brought together under a single governance and management structure. This consists of the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) to support the conduct of research across CHI sites, which links closely with the existing Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) at CHI at Crumlin for clinical trials in paediatric cancer. Both the CRC and CCTU are made up of a team of dedicated research staff to support clinical teams in the conduct of clinical trials and other research studies. The Clinical Research assistant plays a central role in this, coordinating and acting as key point of contact for multiple studies and providing back-up and support from set-up through to closeout. They will link in closely with the CRC Operations Manager, CCTU Manager, and Research Project Managers, as well as Principal Investigators and clinical research teams to ensure that study activities are carried out effectively and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. Purpose of the Role The primary function of the Service Desk Officer (Grade V) is to deliver effective, high-quality IT support by managing escalated Level 1, Level 2, and On-Site tickets while providing advanced technical assistance across key systems including Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, and ServiceNow. The MA reimagines design as a catalyst for systemic change challenging linear production models and enabling regenerative, life-centred approaches to materials, ecosystems, society, and culture. It supports creative practitioners in interrogating and disrupting current systems and in designing alternatives that are circular by intent. The programme combines theory and practice and champions collaborative and pre-competitive processes. The Assistant Lecturer will be part of a cross disciplinary team of academics responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of NCAD’s Circular by Design programmes. This specific role supports participants to redesign strategies, ecosystems, and policy as well as the delivery and teaching of sustainable, circular and regenerative design principles and practices in rethinking systems through transformative circular strategies, ecosystem-based approaches, and policy-informed practice. The role will also contribute to related undergraduate and postgraduate awards, and support the integration of sustainable, circular, and regenerative design across NCAD’s wider curriculum. Clinical Nurse Manager, University Hospital
Kerry General Hospital is the second largest of the Health Service Executive –South’s seven acute hospitals. The hospital provides acute general hospital services to the population of Co.
