Student Engagment Mentor
As part of the Student Experience team, your role will be vital in helping our students achieve their full potential through maximising their attendance, and the opportunities presented to them in the learning environment. The main focus of the Student Engagement Mentor is to assist those students who may be at risk of not succeeding in their course, either due to non-attendance or other pastoral issues. You will be expected to use a raft of unobtrusive intervention strategies to help bring these students back on track and help them get the best possible personal outcomes. You will also be the point of contact on each campus for Student Services, providing a key signposting function to help students overcome learning barriers.
WBL Assessor Early Years
As a Work Based Assessor you will establish and maintain good working relationships with our students. You will be responsible for supporting students and liaising with employers to ensure we provide students with a life-changing, supportive and innovative experience; equipping them with the skills to compete successfully in the global workplace and meet the needs of local industry and employers. To be successful in the role you will have previous experience in a role with responsibility for assessing and providing support for full and part time students in line with awarding body guidelines.
Animal Management Technician
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our animal management team here at Northern Regional College. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the college’s animal management courses at both NRC Magherafelt and Coleraine campuses. The role involves preparing practical sessions, supporting delivery of animal handling and theory sessions, maintaining animal welfare standards and caring for a range of small animals (e.g. rabbits, guinea pigs, small rodents, fish etc.). Design Coordinator
Building a sustainable tomorrow We are recruiting for a Design Coordinator to join our building team on a project based in Carlow! Your mission • Engage in a purposeful and well organised manner with BAM’s Design & Build (D+B) Design Team (DT) and other team member • Complete and issue MTS’s (“RDD”) to the client (Department of Education) TA’s / MDTT (Technical Assessors / Multi Disciplinary Technical Team) • Ensure all MTS / TS are in compliance with the GWR, SSWR and contract documents • Oversea the D+B DT’s issuance of Design Submissions (DS’s) and Designer Checklists to the TA/MDTT via the Autodesk (ACC) CDE • Manage and attend site Benchmark Mockups / FoK’s (First of a Kind). Record the FoK along with signed attendance sheet and photos. Complete the FoK record report and upload to the CDE • Ensure MTS from subcontractors/supplier have the correct up to date documents such as DOPs / CE markings etc • Complete design section of the bi-weekly Contractors Progress reports such as DS’s MTS, RFIs etc • Coordinate and monitor design development from concept through to construction stages • Chair and manage design team meetings • Oversee design of façade systems (curtain walling, cladding, glazing, brickwork etc.) from early-stage concepts to construction details • Review and manage the flow of information through Autodesk software platforms • Coordinate with M&E, structural, and architectural designers to resolve clashes or technical issues early • Track and manage design submittals, RFIs, and approvals to align with the project programme • Coordinate mock-ups, sample panels, and material selections with architects and client teams • Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and relevant façade standards Who are we looking for? • Good people management and interpersonal skills. • High level of IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Autocad. • High level of written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in highly regulated environments. • Excellent attention to detail. • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. • High level of organisation skills. Desirable: • Prior on site experience in Design Management, Site Management or Project Management, or experience working as a site / senior engineer status, with an engineering degree qualification. • Previous experience working on medium to large construction projects • Awareness of construction methodologies. • Use of web-based contract communication tools. • Safe Pass card holder and Manual Handling training.
