We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Administrator to join our Employment & Personal Development team on a part-time (15 hours per week) contract until 31st March 2025 with possible extension for a further 2 months. The Area Administrator will provide support to our Employment & Personal Development teams across Northern Ireland based working from home and/or at a local Mencap Office. Mencap provides an extensive range of high-quality services and support to people with learning disabilities and their families across Northern Ireland. Mencap works closely with individuals to help them live the way they choose, to achieve their learning and employment goals and make equal rights and opportunities a reality. The Area Administrator will work as part of a team and is expected to work effectively and collaboratively with all colleagues, to deliver high quality, effective and cost-efficient administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our services. As a first point of contact for staff, individuals, families and members of the public, you will deal with general enquiries, support to facilitate daily operations and build good relations with staff and the people who use our services. You will support staff and managers as required and will complete tasks such as, but not limited to, handling correspondence, arranging meetings and calls, maintaining an efficient electronic filing system as well as processing invoices and expenses. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise your own workload. Experience of working in a related environment, using Microsoft packages, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail and working to deadlines are essential for the role. This role requires the ability to occasionally work outside normal office hours and to travel to other Mencap locations when required. More information can be found in the Job Description.
