Medical Laboratory Scientist - Near Patient Testing (NPT) Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to assist in the delivery of NPT services in CHI Temple St., CHI Crumlin (including support to CHI UCC at Connolly and Tallaght) with the ultimate aim of achieving compliance with ISO 22870 Near Patient Testing Requirements for Quality and Competence, and ISO 15189:2012 Medical Laboratories - Particular Requirements For Quality And Competence standards. Essential Criteria: Candidates must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the post, possess: · Bachelor in Science (Applied Science) Honours degree (Biomedical option) from the Technological University Dublin, or previously DIT Kevin Street or · Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from University College Cork – Cork Institute of Technology course or · Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street of the Cork Institute of Technology awarded prior to 1994 or · Possess Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology. The Learning & Development (L&D) administrator is to provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support for the Hospital’s training programs and strategy.
