Trainee Manager
Main purpose of the role: Support the management team in all aspects of the operation of the store while gaining detailed experience in individual departments throughout the store. The ideal candidate will have/be: 1 years€,, experience in the retail industry is desirable Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable Experience with fresh food Excellent communication skills Good delegation skills Highly driven with a strong work ethic Commerciality and brand awareness Passion for grocery retail Thrive in a fast-paced working environment. Main Duties: Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager Actively participate in all training and development initiatives, and performance assessments Merchandise and present the entire store to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store Gain competence with all aspects of supply procedures €" ordering, delivery procedures, stock rotation and control procedures Manage such departments as are assigned to you Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.

Trainee Chef (Recruit Training Pathway)

You will learn a wide range of culinary skills from our team of highly experienced instructor staff, including the preparation of nutritious, high-quality meals for Defence Forces personnel. Whilst undergoing these three elements of training, in addition to full pay, you will also receive free meals and accommodation within the barracks. You will also have access to free medical care (dentist, pharmacy, physio etc.) and gym facilities. Defence Forces Chefs play an important role in supporting operational effectiveness by ensuring personnel are properly nourished during training, daily duties, and deployments. Chefs may serve in barracks and at sea throughout Ireland and can also support Defence Forces personnel on overseas missions. They might start their day making sure the production office is well stocked with all the essential supplies needed for the day ahead, then do a tea and coffee run for the team, before moving on to copying essential paperwork like call sheets, sides and scripts - then distributing to the crew. This is a great opportunity to learn how costume is designed, sourced, fitted, maintained and tracked to support performance and continuity. Depending on the scale of the production, a costume trainee’s responsibilities might include assisting with research, sourcing, shopping and returns, basic alterations, laundry and organising costumes and costume supplies. A costume trainee may be required to assist during casting and support artist fittings as well as assisting members of the costume team on set during filming. Where is it based?
