We are now looking for Teen Development Programme Facilitators to work alongside students completing the Blossom Teen Development Programme. The Blossom Teen Development Programme is a skills-based programme designed to prepare teenagers with an intellectual disability for life after school. The programme focuses on identifying the skills they need to support them in their future. Role: Teen Development Programme Facilitator - A formal QQI accredited training in the area of disability, special needs, community and health services or equivalent is required.Hours: Blossom Teen Development Programme runs on Saturdays and evenings, term time. Funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP) and administered by Pobal. Salary: €18 per hour, DOE. The person· Reporting to the Education Programme Coordinator, we are looking for a passionate, outgoing and motivating facilitator to join our growing, dynamic team. · Vast experience working directly with marginalised groups and direct experience working with young people with intellectual disabilities will be a distinct advantage. · Passionate about seeing young people with disabilities achieve their full potential and being part of an innovative service that is continually developing and designed around the needs of the young people you work with and their families. · Availability to work a full day on Saturdays and some evenings from approximately 6-9pm.· A formal QQI accredited training in the area of disability, special needs, community and health services or equivalent.· A third level qualification is not essential but it would be a distinct advantage. · Hands on experience in working with children/teens with disabilities a distinct advantage. The Role Blossom Teen Development Facilitators are responsible for students completing the Blossom Teen Development Programme.
