The Role We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Apprentice Furniture Sprayer / Finisher to join our team. This is an entry-level position where you will learn a highly skilled, specialised trade in a hands-on workshop environment. Working alongside experienced craftspeople, you will learn the entire process of preparing, spraying, and finishing high-end bespoke furniture, cabinetry and joinery. Over the course of the apprenticeship, your duties will include: • Surface Preparation: Learning how to inspect, sand, de-nib, strip, and repair raw timber or manufactured boards between coats to achieve a flawless base. • Material Selection & Mixing: Learning how to safely measure, mix, and colour-match various paints, lacquers, stains, primers, and polyurethanes. • Spray Application: Developing hands-on techniques using specialized spray guns and finishing equipment in a dedicated extraction booth. [ • Equipment Maintenance: Learning to strip down, clean, lubricate, and maintain spray guns, lines, pumps, and booths to keep tools operating efficiently. • Quality Control: Checking completed work under optimal lighting for common paint/finish defects Candidate Profile & Desired Skills No prior spray-painting or finishing experience is required, as full training will be provided.
