The post-holder will report to the Adult Guidance Coordinator/Counsellor/Senior Manager. • To develop and deliver a programme of guidance provision to individuals and groups which supports the aims and objectives of the GRETB Adult Guidance and Information Service, under the direction of the Adult Guidance Coordinator/Counsellor or Chief Executive/Director of FET/AEO or Senior Manager. • To establish effective links with relevant agencies from the statutory, voluntary and community sectors to exchange information, develop partnership working and support client progression. • To contribute to the development and implementation of a quality and evaluation framework and to the strategic development of the Service. • To participate in appropriate continuous professional development and training as agreed with Guidance Coordinator/Counsellor/ Senior Manager.

CNC Machinist / Programmer / Manufacturing Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist / Manufacturing Technician to join our team and to also play an integral role in Managing our production process. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce parts in line with production schedules and specifications. Utilize CAD/CAM software (such as Alphacam, Enroute or similar) to generate toolpaths for CNC machines. Ensure all machines are maintained and operate at peak efficiency. Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot any mechanical issues as required. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Collaborate with production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. Conduct quality control checks and ensure parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and company procedures. Record keeping and data input, ensuring the traceability of all fire products manufactured. Required Knowledge & Experience: CAD/CAM proficiency: Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (Alphacam, Enroute or similar). CNC Experience: A background in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.). Machine Maintenance: Experience with troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on CNC machinery. Technical Understanding: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents. Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly. Attention to Detail: Ability to consistently produce high-quality work while adhering to safety and quality standards. City of Dublin Education and Training Board (City of Dublin ETB) was established on 1st July 2013 under the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013. City of Dublin ETB has 3,000 employees and an annual budget of €580m. It is the state education and training authority for Dublin city and serves the area covered by Dublin City Council. This provision is delivered to over 48,000 learners (20,000 full-time and 28,000 part-time) and is supported by a range of services including a psychological service, a curriculum development unit, a buildings maintenance unit and Head Office staff in Ballsbridge. It also has statutory responsibility for supporting the provision, coordination, administration and assessment of youth work services in Dublin city and is the lead partner for Music Generation Dublin City. City of Dublin ETB is also responsible for the national awarding authority for student grants in Ireland, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI). Desirable Requirements Be a qualified or part qualified accountant registered with one of the following Accountancy Bodies (ICAI, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) or be a qualified accounting technical or have a degree equivalent to level 7 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications in accounting or business administration (or in such other relevant discipline as may be considered appropriate in the discretion of City of Dublin ETB). • Have a minimum of three year’s recent proven senior finance experience which in the opinion of City of Dublin ETB is relevant to the post. • Have significant experience in managing staff including but not limited to general staff supervision, teamwork scheduling, staff development and training. • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of working with SUN or an equivalent tier 1 ERP system including experience in the development and implementation of financial management systems. • Strong oral and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills. • Knowledge of public or private sector financial procedures, including implementation of internal controls and risk management. • Self-starter with an ability to use initiative (being self-motivated, flexible and results focused etc.) to prioritise and manage work in a dynamic and pressurised environment. • Excellent judgement, problem-solving, analytical, and decision making skills. • A commitment to teamwork and leading change and a demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively. • Strong skills in building productive working relationships and the ability to foster strong links with a range of internal and external stakeholders • Have an understanding of the main features and current challenges of public service and regulatory reform, including the delivery by the Department of Education of shared services to the education sector. • Excellent work planning and organisation skills.
