Community Based Support Staff Clann Mór Residential & Respite CLG is a Community Based Residential & Respite service, based in Co. Meath. We currently provide services in Kells, Navan, and Ashbourne. The service supports adults with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, to live in its community-based homes and to avail of residential respite. Clann Mór is a voluntary organisation, with charitable status and is registered with HIQA. We have positions for: Waking Night, Full-time, Part-time and Relief Community Based Support Staff (CBSS) Minimum Requirements: • QQI Level 5 in Health/ Social care • Experience of working in disability services - preferably residential and respite • Knowledge and understanding of HIQA • Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role • Dynamic person with drive, ambition, motivation, excellent work ethics and communication skills. • Flexible approach to work rosters - positions will include shift working. • Highly motivated to pursue ongoing training and development, viewing CPD as a vital part of professional growth. PERSONAL ASSISTANT NEEEDED Job Title: Personal Assistant Location: Navan Pay: €17.60 - €18.50 (depending on experience) Sunday premiums and pay progression opportunities Hours: Up to 21 hours p/w available. Tuesday, Saturday and Sundays available. 10am- 5pm. JOB DESCRIPTION The ÁT Network is an organisation that works alongside people with disabilities- who we call Leaders, to support them to lead their own service through the recruitment and employment of Personal Assistants. The Personal Assistants are employed to support the Leader to live an independent and self-directed life by assisting both at the home and in the community. Duties · Assistance with domestic needs (cooking, cleaning, shopping etc) · Assisting the Leader to attend appointments so the ability and willingness to drive the Leader’s car is essential. · Assisting the Leader to engage in social, political, and cultural life. Essential Qualifications/Requirements · Must be willing to complete mandatory training sessions and Garda Vetting. · Must be eligible to work in Ireland and live locally to the Leader. · Fluency in the English language. · Must have a proven ability to listen and to follow instruction. · Proven ability to understand that the Leader knows what is in their own best interest and can make decisions for themselves. · Must have a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive Leader’s car. · Sociable and a good sense of humour, as well as an ability to work quietly and to respect the light, and sound sensitivities of the disabled individual. · Must be flexible, open, and honest and have the ability to work on own initiative. Desirable Qualities · An understanding of the United Nations Declaration of Rights for Disabled People and the concept of Independent Living that the Declaration contains. · An understanding of social model of disability, and of why the Charity and Medical models are not helpful. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland.
